NO cook today for the 3rd day in a row. She called me tonight while I was still at work after 12 hours and said she's not coming in again tomorrow. I about bit her head off.
We had a memorial service tonight for one of our peer support group members whose husband died in jail. Corrections took the money he made working inside to pay for his own funeral.
So sad.
That's about all I have for tonight.

Oh gosh, I don't know what to say other than I'm so sorry - what a sad and tough day you had. Considering the stressful nature of your work, I don't blame you for having an off day or for biting the cook's head off - sounds like they deserved it and left you in a real state.
